The actress who is ruling Bollywood now, has put her marriage before work. Kareena Kapoor, who is busy promoting her forthcoming film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, told the promotional team of the film that she would not be able to attend any event on October 22nd as it is Karva Chauth; the day when married women all over North India fast for their husbands’ longevity and prosperity.
Now Kareena Kapoor has joined the ranks of all the Bollywood star-wives who made place for important personal commitments and rituals related to marriage. Long ago, Hema Malini once told Yash Chopra during a shoot that she wanted an early off on Karva Chauth as fasting made her weak by evening. Sridevi also is known for keeping a fast on the festival.
Additionally, the first family of Bollywood, the Bachchans are known for their religious sentiments. The wives in the family, Jaya and Aishwarya religiously follow the ritual of Karva Chauth and they fast every year. Now Kareena also wants to do all the pujas and the rituals and she also wishes to fast.
